3FM Serious Talent presents: Go Back To The Zoo
De broers Cas en Teun maakten altijd al muziek met Bram in Nijmegen. Eenmaal vertrokken naar Amsterdam, duwden ze Lars (die ze ontmoetten in de rij voor een Strokes concert) een basgitaar in zijn handen: Go Back To The Zoo was geboren.
Ze gaan repeteren in een ruimte waar Boudewijn Buch zijn zoölogische collectie hield, en worden beïnvloed door van alles tegelijk: Pop, Velvet Underground, Tsjechov, Marinus Nijhoff, Amsterdam, The Strok es, Nescio, Nijmegen, Rock N Roll, Dostojevski, Elsschot, Svevo, Guns n’ Roses, Wymbristeradiel, The Rolling Stones en Oscar Wilde: een grote soep. In 2008 nemen ze een EP op met Torre Florim. In 2009 brengen ze twee singles uit: Beam Me Up over luiheid en nietsigheid, Electric over lust, liefde en G uinevere. Electric wordt in januari verkozen tot 3FM MEGAHIT. Nu wordt er hard gewerkt in de Z OO-STUDIO aan een debuutalbum en maken de jongens zich op voor het festivalseizoen.
