Uit New York: Warrior Soul!
Het Amerikaanse Warrior Soul is met recht een cult band. De band maakte begin jaren negentig behoorlijk indruk met haar psychedelische rock/metal. Warrior Soul weet bombastische metal te koppelen aan het (echte) punk gevoel. Geen nep, maar recht toe recht aan rock ‘n roll met een ‘in your face’ mentaliteit. Doorspekt met hogere sferen, teksten met een boodschap en de karakteristieke stem van zanger Kory Clarke. Ook live staat de band haar mannetje, dat bleek bijvoorbeeld begin jaren negentig toen Warrior Soul als support van Metallica tourde. Vorig jaar kwam "Destroy the War Machine" uit, waarmee ze hun cultstatus bevestigen.
